EverBrite Windows & Doors

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

In May 1979, Trevor Lugmayer, now Chairman decided that the industry in its infancy needed something different, a little bit special. And so became Everbrite Windows & Doors and the Home Improvement Centre in Southgate, North London, offering the new revelation, UPVC Double Glazed Windows & Doors, hardwood doors and brass furniture.

The showroom was opened by the local Mayor and Lenny Peters (Peters & Lee), accompanied by the Edmonton Drum and Majorette Corps. The roads were closed by the Police as great crowds gathered to get the first look at the plastic double-glazed window as up until now only aluminium products had been available.

February 1984 saw the opening of the Company's first factory in Brimsdown, Enfield. At a modest 1700 sq/ft including the office and toilet space, this became the place where Trevor could grow his vision of second-to-none customer service and the best quality products and craftsmanship not yet seen in the industry. Within 2 years the Company had outgrown its space and during the next 18 months occupied a further two adjoining factories in a bid to meet the growing demand for its products.

August 1994 it was decided that working from three smaller buildings would no longer allow the natural growth required to meet customer demands. Without any hesitation, Trevor moved the company to a single building of 16,000 sq/ft which he planned to divide into two and rent half out. Within six months of moving, he abandoned this idea and replaced it with the vision of expanding production by supplying windows to local developers, builders and small window companies.

July 2007 saw Everbrite make its biggest move to date. After acquiring a 1.75-acre commercial development site in Harlow, Essex, the directors Trevor, Stefan (Trevor's son), Donal (Trevor's son-in-law) and Richard (Production Director) began designing and building the perfect base from which to continue Trevor's vision. 18 months later in the July of 2007 and at the cost of £2 million pounds the new 20,000 sq/ft purpose-built factory was ready to be called home. Upon moving into this new facility the company invested a further £250,000 in new machinery to allow for increased production levels and better consistency of quality.

Since 1979 modern techniques and ideas may have stepped in but traditional old-fashioned values are still the foundations that The Company continue to build upon. Manufacturing all of their window and door products to the customers’ bespoke requirements and exacting standards is still the most important vision.

The development of new products has always been high on their list of priorities. Being one of the first companies in the industry to embrace new innovations such as the composite door, bi-fold door and trade manufacturing. In February 2018, after watching other companies introduce flush sash windows to the market, Everbrite decided to launch the latest addition to their extensive range of products, the Everbrite Regal™ Flush window system.

After more than 40 years Everbrite continues to supply local builders, small window companies and local developers with their window and door requirements alongside serving local homeowners with the installation of replacement products. All the staff are fully employed at Everbrite and no sub-contractors are used at any time allowing total control of customer service and quality control.
